*Insert Minority Here* Is Once Again Rallying To Be Treated Like People, Too

Note: As if to predict the future, this article is designed to be an easy use template for the next time a power wielding asshole takes advantage of a vulnerable person/s or group of people.

In a completely precedented turn of events droves of (pick a group/s) People of colour/Women/Indigenous/Gay/Lesbian/Transgender/Non-Binary/Gender diverse/Neuro diverse/Disabled people have turned to social media to vent their frustrations as a another scandal ravages their community.

It began on Monday evening when a (pick a platform) Twitter/Facebook/Instragram/Reddit user tweeted/posted about their (insert a year) interaction with (pick a profession/s) Actor/Comedian/Writer/Author/Politcian/Lawyer/Judge/Police Officer/Podcaster/Accountant/Family member, (insert name here).

Twitter/Facebook/Instragram/Reddit user (insert username) alleges that (insert perpetrator name here) (pick an allegation/s) threatened/unfairly dismissed/harassed/abused their power/underpaid/blackmailed/stole from/racially profiled/emotionally muniplulated/physically assaulted/used excessive force/kidnapped/solicited nude photographs/sexually assaulted/date raped them during/while/at/on (pick a location/s) a date/a bar/a restaurant/a hotel/meet & greet/comedy show/concert/rally/police interegation/witness statement/reporting a crime/job interview/place of work/shopping centre/in the street/in their home.

Within minutes the post was flooded with replies from other users who corroborated these claims by sharing stories of their own. The most common theme among all the stories was that they felt they were unable to say anything at the time due to (pick a reason/s) fear of being believed/fearing for their life/fear of legal repecussions/fear of legal fees/unaware at the time that what was happening was wrong/impact on career/fear of losing work/wanting to protect family/backlash from fans/the racism/sexism/ableism/homophobia in (insert industry)/being physically/legally threatened by (insert name of person/organisation).

(pick a support group) Fans/friends/family members/colleagues of the (insert profession) were quick to respond to the allegations with many claiming (pick a statement/s) “I don’t believe it” / “I can’t believe it” / “I refuse to believe it” / “It’s not like them” / “It’s out of character” / “I’ve never seen them (insert allegation)” / “This is an attack of their character” / “This is slander” / “These people are only after attention/money/fame” / “There’s no REAL evidence” / “Everybody is innocent until proven guilty” / “Why was this never taken to the police?” / “Why would they wait this long to say anything?” / “Why didn’t they speak up sooner?”

In a statement later made by (insert perpetrator name here) they claimed (pick a statement/s) “None of it is true, I would never (insert allegation)” / “It deeply saddens me anybody would think this about me, I have a (insert group) (insert relationship)” / “It’s all a misunderstanding” / “If there was any real evidence, they would have gone to the police” / “I messed up, but I’ve learnt from my mistakes” / “I have done things in the past I regret, however, I don’t think this should affect my career now” / “Didn’t mean to offend anybody” / “It was an error in judgement” / “I’m still learning how to (insert obvious human requirement)”.
