A Sydney woman has made the controversial claim that perhaps contracting COVID-19 could be a good way of passing the time during this whole “quarantine thing.”
27 year old Brenda Knight this week has stated “I’m so bored, and it’s becoming really hard to keep thinking of things to do!” she says, “Didn’t they say we were all probably going to get it? I feel like it’s better to get it now while I’ve got nothing on. I’ve read every single article about how it’s OK to not be productive right now, so what now? Reflecting inward? No thanks!”
While health authorities have reported that the curve is flattening and new cases have been decreasing every day, it hasn’t stopped Knight from being bored shitless.
“I obviously don’t want to get it too badly! Just bad enough that it would give me something to do for like 2 to 3 weeks. I’m already sitting on the couch most of the time, I just want to stop feeling bad about it for a second!”
While screening an incoming call from her psychologist, Knight claims “I reckon the fear of dying might actually give me a new zest for life? Kind of like when somebody has a cancer scare and then turns their whole life around and starts road cycling, or whatever.”
